SeanyBeez
Hi guys, My vehicle aint due a service for atleast another 8-9000 miles but the next one is a biggie, i was in the nissan dealership picking up some bits and whilst i was waiting i asked for a qoute on a P3 and the bird behind the desk said it would be 246.50 all inclusive, is that a fair price or am i better off looking at the local garages round my ares? thanks
introspect
I think £246.50 seems pretty good for a Nissan dealer P3. I'm sure you can get it even cheaper from an independent though.
SeanyBeez
i got that i mean it was just in passing, but would it be better to get it from a main nissan dealership? of course if they find a fault thats a diffrent issue! thanks for ur input dude
Ekona
P3 is a P3 regardless of where you go. If you're out of warranty then I'd probably go with a cheaper option, but that is a really good price from Nissan
introspect
Out of interest, you say it's not due a service for at least another 8-9000 miles, zeds should be serviced every 9000 miles or every 12 months, whichever comes first. Sorry if I'm preaching to the converted, just thought I'd make sure you knew
doctor austin
I'd recommend changing engine oil much more frequently... say 3-4K miles or less...its the life blood of the car and costs so little and take a few minutes to change. (my older cars I change the oil evey 500 miles!!)

phatbloke74
Speaking as car DIY novice, I can fully recommend on changing the oil yourself, it's really easy to do. Also, I've just had a P3 service on mine and took it to Nissan in Slough. They did it for £220 including a courtesy car for the day but I did provide the oil. Would really recommend them if your in the area.
doctor austin
My advice is to do it yourself... its all soooo easy and you'll save 100's plus gain some experience...even this so called big service is just so simple.... just make sure you get the right oils! really its easy

agentdarkshadow
just had a p3 service inc plugs and all for £300 (i supplied air filter) from japex in kings langley, herts. Easily the cheapest round here i was quoted (local nissan in watford wanted £340 plus another £240 for plugs/fitted) Nice guys too and from now on they will do all my engine work except for mapping which they recommend abbey
