Exhaust help please...

I am a bit of a technical noob but am learning alot as I go. I want to try and change all the 'breathables' on my car before Abbey hit Scotland. Next on my hit list is exhaust but between test pipes, replacing the y pipe, decats, hi flow cats and a big choice of exhausts, my head is spinning. The more threads I read, the more difficult it becomes.

Can anybody do a wee glossary of these term

I wanted the nismo but for the price don't think it would give me enough noise when I plant the right foot. In saying that I don't want K1 or K2 levels. Want a nice raspy sports sound.

So from watching a few clips and reading threads I am thinking the ol scorpion with japspeed Y pipe OR the blameflame that captain recently posted up. Anybody think they can offer me anymore insight.

Thanks in advance

Believe me, the nismo with Hi flow cats is very very loud.

Is it? Hoping to hear a few different sounds at the static meet at the weekend. Is it considerably different sounding from say the scorpion with japspped y pipe, as you will know there is a big difference in price

I will be popping up to Carlisle to meet Jay sometime later in the month or early in May, I will let you know so you can have a listen. I have had the Nismo for about 4 years but just had the HFCs fitted about a week ago.

Wow.

Sounds good mate - I am mates with Jay so if I am off work he might not mind me tagging along! I will get saving the pennies incase then - which hi flow cats did you fit?
