clarkie34
Had a bit of a disaster with my front passanger wheel.Caught it on a kerb and put a gash about an inch long on the beading on the rim. I have tried a couple of places Revive a mobile repair guy and also been to The Wheel Specialist in Manchester and they reckon the colour will be hard to match. The colour is formula silver. Anyone know of a very good refurb place.Oh Volk wont give me the paint code as its against company policy.
Cragus
Thats a bit pish of Volk to not give you the code! I don't know any places but a kerbed volk makes me want to cry so can imagine how your feeling.

Chilli Red
Sorry Wayne, I have had absolutely no news at all for you and I have tried a few ways of trying to get it I think a reputable company should be able to refurb and colour match it for you without too much grief. Shame they won't hand over the code though, it would save so much time!! I could find someone down here but then we've got to courier it too and thats probably not best the way yours and my luck is running at the moment A very sorry Sarah
Tarmac@TarmacSportz
Feel for you bud. The wheel guys have got a 15% discount on at the moment too. Got a quote last week for an inch gash on my passenger side... Doh.

clarkie34
The Wheel Sepcialist in Manchester looks a good setup but they reckon they would not get the finish bright enough to match.I have just fired them another email to see if they can just do the bead all way round as close as possible. If this fails looks like a new rim.Car is turning into a right nightmare at present.

clarkie34
Tell me about it Martin.Had bump with rear bumper and exhaust knocked out of line got that sorted, then kerbed the wheel and on top of this front ball joint on banana bar has collapsed which needs doing before MOT runs out. webber
Gutted for you Clarkie, its seriously upsetting when that happens If its any use to you a friend of mine used a place round the corner from me in Stockport called Diamond Wheels when he damaged one of his Superleggeras, a few places had said they'd struggle to match the colour but Diamond wheels did it perfectly so it may be worth a try possibly if you dont have any luck with the wheel specialist http://www.diamond-wheels.net/index.htm
clarkie34
Thanks mate, the gash is not that big but i can spot it over 3 fields.

rtbiscuit
i wouldn't buy a whole new wheel, you could get all 4 refurbed in any colour you want and have lips polished etc. for half the price of a new volk
maz0
Even with todays technology, you cant get a machine somewhere that can tell u the paint? Geezo, very shady of volk.

yokomo
aaahh , youve not had them longer either. if they cant match it maybe change the rim colour on all 4 ? could be cheaper than a new volk and youl have somthing unique that can atleast be matched if your unlucky again. I'm really beginning to wonder why people pay through the nose for Volks. Very pretty of course but the ones with polished lips seem almost impossible to keep looking good and now I hear they won't give you a piant code or any paint.... Andy
I'd get all 4 lips done in Azure
