BulletMagnet
Was it some sort of pre cut out kit that you stuck on bud ? Yup, precut square sheet of DI-NOC CA-421 measuring 60cm x 120cm tools used were: -hairdryer -fingers -patience (not much of that left tho) -sharp knife -scissors -soldering iron (to plastic weld the triple gauges back in)

rtbiscuit
Flat surfaces are fairly easy, but anything with complex curves; as BM will tell you are a PITA.
BulletMagnet
Mind you, it ain't perfect, some minor imperfections...suppose I could call that "characteristic of handfinished interior" haha

scottsoulby
Nicely done, did you flatten the console down before or just go straight over the top?
rtbiscuit
Nicely done, did you flatten the console down before or just go straight over the top? was wondering the same
BulletMagnet
Started at the bottom first and worked towards the gauges. First attempt was starting from the middle, but ended up total crap, ripped it off and started again.
bhavin85
Nicely done, did you flatten the console down before or just go straight over the top? was wondering the same x2 I was thinking about wrapping the consol in a normal colour, but I think that would bring up the bubble effect which I dont want...however the carbon stuff seams to hide it...might just be because of the weave effect. Good job btw bullet...looks great
rtbiscuit
not the weave, but the fact its about twice as thick as normal vinyl
spursmaddave
I feel your pain as I did the same to my centre console. I tried and tried to stretch the stuff into the gauge mount but ended up cutting round it and it looked crap. I was never totally in love with it as I thought it was a bit dull shame it doesn't come in a gloss finish. Great stuff (if frustrating) to work with, just keeps stretching!!!! Yeah, that was my first though, but then decidec to remove the gauges altogether, including the bottom cup bits that are stuck down, decided to pop them out so I only had the centre console frame, then replaced the gauge cups back, which was easy enough with the help of superglue and a soldering iron (plastic welding). so the di-noc strectches around the edge and out of sight and ends up looking quite tidy. I took mine apart too but I still cocked it up! I got some cheap RSW stuff now that just needs a bit of a freshen up I'm gonna use the bit of Di-Noc I got left to do the lower lip on the front bumper when my Zunsport grille arrives

BulletMagnet
Very How many hrs went into making completing it..........? door controls and grab handle were fairly quick, prolly 15mins each, but the centre console and gear surround, about 2-3 hours
