cfoster
Does anyone know how to remove the bottom part of the aerial? I presume its from inside the bootlid? Chris
alessandro
I think I seen something on the US website. Are you going smooth line?
Andy
I can't remember how it comes out now as it was a while ago I did mine but here are some pics of what it looks like out the car....not sure it helps but you never know!
Harman350z
Seems simples, looks like you just screw the top off and pull the bottom of it out through the boot?
cfoster
Excellent cheers for the pics, looks like i'll have to strip out half the boot liner to get to it! Allesandro - will be going back in mate, just taking it off so I can rewrap the rear quarter (carbon wrapping) Chris

rtbiscuit
I've seen them wrap that panel before, the usual trick is to unscrew the main Ariel leaving the mounting block. make a small incision in the top over the Ariel base. then add heat and smooth in. the heat shrinks the vinyl as you push it in. you can then shape it right up to the base and then trim the excess off with a scalpel. no need to remove the Ariel, then just smooth in the rest of the panel. Husky
i like the idea of removing the aerial to do it, thats the best way
cfoster
rtbiscuit - thats how i did it this time but due to it being carbon vinyl, and me being a fussy fooker in keeping the weaves straight its not possible this way. Any normal colour would be fine I reckon. Not going to risk doing the same again so would rather take the lot off. Harman350Z - pics in the styling forum mate! Done the front bumper now though which laid on perfectly so will get some new pics later. Personally not in love with the vinyl yet, toying with ripping all off and going for a deep orange / black combo!! Chris

sasha@lazytrips
Have you tried the sledgehammer approach? If you bang it hard enough it'll fall out the bottom... eventually
