1146ben
Hi I've taken my Z to a local garage (not Nissan) as it has a small oil leak on the front left hand side (based on the oil patch on the drive). Mechanic had a look but couldn't find it, his next suggestion is to give the whole thing a really good clean and then leave it to run for a bit, when hopefully it will be more obvious where the leak is. He did say that would be a bit of a pain and would take some time, so: Does anyone have any suggestions other than this so I can give him a helping steer - is there a common connection that works loose or starts to fail? I've tried searching the forum but nothing leaps out. Car is 54 plate with 39K on the clock. Many thanks in advance. Ben

It is a good idea to follow and keep an eye on all powersteering and oil level. The powersteering cooler connectors has a tendercy to weep/leak everso slightly but not enough to do anything about it I changed the fluid completely a few months ago and the level is unchanged and I never had to top-up in one year of ownership! There is a very small oil patch on the engine cover below and slight weep around the hose connector to the powersteering cooler again though which i had cleaned when i did the fluid change You may be having the same issue
1146ben
Hi Front left whilst sitting in it. Thanks for the steer GT4 Zed - I'll ask my mechanic to have a look and see if that's it. Many thanks Ben

Si I think you can get a gasket for the cover ....... it's the three seals around the spark plugs that demands a new cover, those seals being integrated
ZMANALEX
Rocker cover gaskets are £11.00 each and I have them in stock. The coil pack oil seals unfortunately are not available on there own as they are part of the rocker cover. An oil seal failure will only give you an internal oil leak whilst a gasket failure will result in an external oil leak. I have new rocker covers in stock at around £300.00 each or preowned at £95.00 each. Alex.
