goatboy
Time to call again on the kind folks of 350z-uk Anybody on here a conveyancing solicitor or can recommend a good one they have used lately. I've just had an offer accepted on my flat and have found a new place to move to so need some thing quickly, but would prefer to get a recommendation from someone... nixy
last time i moved i used conveyancing warehouse. MEGA cheap! You did have to chase them around a bit by email but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend them if you want a fast turnaround.
Chesterfield
If you are wanting a fast turnaround, then perhaps beter looking at a local firm, or perhaps even asking your buyer who they are using (saves on postal delays between parties). Worth asking the person you are buying from who they are using too, as you could perhaps use them. The person selling to you will then know they are dealing with someone who wants a fast turn around, and is less likely to enter into any gazumping etc.. Hope that helps. captain
www.ashfords.co.uk I'm an estate agent and they do all my deals. They are quick, modern and they don't f**k up like loads of other firms. DO NOT GO CHEAP under any circumstances. You will regret it.

Sorry Chesterfield - absolute rubbish. You can't use the same firm as your buyer/vendor unless you are a previous client or they have seperate practises. Gazumping is a myth. Doesn't exist. Never seen someone gazumped in the past 7 years of running an agency. Estate agents (me) are naturally lazy and only want to sell a house once and will discourage another person bidding for a house already sold. I'm a mortgage broker, you can use my conveyencers if you wish. They are not the absolute cheapest around, but they've hit any deadline I've given over the last four years. goatboy
Cheers all, I decided to go with a company I used before, I wasn't going to because their quote seemed really expensive but after I shopped around a bit it seems it wasn't too bad after all. I was tempted by the cheap online companies but everyone has warned me off.... Thanks again!
