StephenG
So, after 5 and a bit years of almost obsessive love, lots of garaging, and virtually no driving other than to and from car shows (!) my 350Z has to go (to make way for my next project car). I bought this car – a 350Z with full GT pack, in Metallic Gunmetal Grey with Black Leather seats and Cruise control - from new from a UK dealer in November 2004. You can trace all my posts on here for its history too The first thing that I did was changed the wheels (see below in the spec list), and then once it had 2500 miles on the clock to bed everything in, had a full Vortech Supercharger conversion, installed to the best possible level by Abbey Motorsport, recognized as one of the UK’s top Nissan motorsport specialists. To date, the supercharger has never, ever had any problems. The bodykit combo was designed on computer to make sure the skirt levels were equal all round, and the front lip is made of Poly Urethane to make sure any pressure / speed bumps / kerbs bounce off without causing cracking. Really do look at the photos to see an accurate representation. Everything on this car has been done to show and magazine level – and as a result, the car got a feature in Fast Car magazine a little while back. But it has permanently garaged (and I don’t own a garage, so I rent one especially) and has only done 12,000 miles in its whole life – hence the bodywork, interior, switchgear et al is mint. Also, apart from an oil tap from the engine for the supercharger, this car has all the parts available to return the engine bay to stock if you choose to. All these parts are included in the sale. The car has been rolling-roaded on 4 occasions giving consistent power (increased healthily once the SSV inlet manifold was fitted) of approx 400bhp. It has been taken on a track once (the top gear track!) and a quarter mile once as well – where it was soft launched because I care about the clutch. Once you spend this amount of time and money on a car, you’re a bit of a pussy with it. Overall, there’s tons to say about this car; but the main thing you need to know is this; this car was a project first and foremost and is bullet proof reliable, because originally I thought this might be my daily driver! In the end I was so paranoid about parking it anywhere public, I got a runaround instead and this has sat lovingly in garages. I even swapped out a Nismo Exhaust for a more expensive true dual Invidia exhaust because it caused less cabin drone. You can still get 24mpg out of this but nail it and you’ll see that drop right down. That said, the tune is deliberately safe and being a supercharger, if you drive it everywhere under 2500 revs you’ll barely notice the difference from a standard 350Z. Over £17,000 – actually more now I think about it - has been spent on this car and it has only ever been filled with super unleaded (not a requirement of the supercharger, but it prefers it). Really, you have to see it; I have attached pictures below and there’s some video too. Right – being candid here – the bad bits: The car had a new windscreen in 2007 (stone chip) and the guy cutting out cut through the navigation cable to the GPS receiver. It needs a new metal wire splining/soldering on. The only reason I never did this is because I’ve never driven the car to somewhere I didn’t know where it was. Which begs the question why I installed the full DVD Navi system in the first place! The AEM UEGO wideband unit has not yet been ‘seated’ – I was going to remove one of the built-in gauges but decided not to when I found they were effectively ‘fixed’ and the car could not be returned to stock easily. So it currently sits on the drinks holder! The front lip is scraped underneath where it was parked face-forwards to a high kerbstone. You need to be actually underneath the car to see this, but I felt it was fair to point out. OK – here’s the Media files: Photobucket album: http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa21 ... an%20350Z/ Video: The engine bay http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 651697824# Lapping the top gear track http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 274686228# Doing a VMax (0-155-0) on the Top Gear airstrip http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 686540278# 382bhp Rolling road run, pre tuning / SSV intake http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 659772965# http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 314168830# Other key points: • Personalised numberplate will be coming off the car and a DVLA appointed one going on (54 reg). This process can take up to 4 weeks so the car might not be available to drive away for this reason unless you are a dealer. • MOT / Tax Dec 2010 • 12,000 miles • New battery / front tyres Dec 2009 • Full service history and list of all receipts since day 1 • All mechanical work done by Abbey Motorsport • All electrical / audio work done Huet Car Audio • No ‘DIY’ mods whatsoever • Insurance for this vehicle very reasonable with Adrian Flux or MCE insurance (who I have been with for 3 years), I only pay about £180 over the IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING IT… • Please, no canvassers • Phone ( 020 32392928 ) or email me (me – at – stephengrant.com) • don’t make me an offer that’s less than the list price for this vehicle without the modifications, as the sound of me laughing until I wet myself may offend you • you can come and drive this car if you can bring an insurance document that shows you are *comprehensively* covered for 3rd party cars. If not, I can take you out in it, but that’s it – sorry. I have had terrible experience with ‘test pilots’ almost killing me. I’m a nervous driver, and an even more nervous passenger. • I won’t swap it with your civic, golf, or anything for that matter* • I’m not selling it overseas • A cleared bankers draft or BACS will secure this vehicle – check with me first about cash. • Will need £500 non-refundable deposit to secure • PRICED TO SELL – this car stock is near £15K due to the super-low mileage – the 350Z is already a very popular enthusiast car and mint examples like this one will be tricky to come by. • As it is having a personalized plate removed, the car will be plateless for a short period – check with me first when it is available to drive off. • I reserve the right to take it off sale as it is advertised elsewhere. * I might swap it for a similar mileage 350Z with money to cover the modifications, if you are looking to do the same work yourself, as I’d like the car to go to a good home. GT4 Zed
How could you not really this beast I feel you may need to part some stuff eg wheels, ice, kinetix , decats/zorst even the bodykit to "balance the books" seeing how things have gone recently and sell the car a base SC zed This will not be an issue as the car is mostly garaged. GLWTS someone will be very lucky

GLWTS someone will be very lucky That would normally be my plan but I really don't have the time - so much of my work now is overseas and the car is garaged so much of the time its biggest enemy is dust! If I had more time, I'd be driving it, not parting stuff off it. I'll take a good offer - and a better one than I'd accept on eBay etc if it's going to a good home. Likewise a swap for a normal 350Z with similar mileage + some money for the mods is an easy way for someone planning to go FI to get the car they want. Lots of people on here have seen this car in the flesh and know it is barely used. Sad really. Stephen

Stephen I know your predicament Stephen and we all hope someone from here comes along and bites you fingers off I have a rev up and would have considered making you a good offer for the SC and kinetix which would have brought you closer to the price of the base car especially as you will still be left with the zorst, wheels ice which you can easily part but i have a revup(GT4) engine and this SC will not work and i want to keep my car Make sure you have it up in pistonheads too
StephenG
Yep, it's on PH too : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1595108.htm I'm open to offers though - as ever with a modified car, you're never 100% what the realistic price is. StephenG
If it gives you £19K worth of wood, then it's perfectly acceptable. Speaking of which... PRICE NOW DROPPED to £18500 Have had two buyers drop out and it really needs to go... so a good offer will secure it. Come see it, it's immaculate! StephenG
Rear apron was from a guy on here called 'Val'. Where is he now...?!? Price dropped AGAIN - if you have a normally aspirated Zed, why not swap with me (plus money) rather than go through the rigmarole of getting it fitted?
