Kennydies
Hi, Yet another question from me. Has anyone installed their road angel in the center of the dash? I was thinking between the trip computer and the oil pressure gage. If so, where did you bring the wire up from and through where? Thanks

Guest prescience
Not your preferred location but a nice neat option IMO http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=
Kennydies
Cheers prescience, yeah saw that earlier. Quite like lomoto's idea as then can hide the cable when not using the road angel. Am taking the center console off tomorrow will have a look at the cable route.

jim
Sorry - didn't make myself clear. Where is the power supply that you tapped into for this unit? Did you run a cable all the way from the 12v supply behind the seats?
lomoto
No Jim, I ripped centre consol out and found a power wire that was live with ingnition on, sorry cant remember now which wire, and took a feed from that drilled a small hole in bottom corner of cubby hole and threaded wire through to the 4 way power supply 30 min job
jim
Thanks lomoto, that confirms what I had been thinking myself. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a suitable cable once I get the console off. I seem to remember there was a thread with instructions on how to do that recently. Cheers. Kennydies
I installed the Road Angel today. It sits between the trip computer and the volt meter with the power coming up the air vert next to the window.... One question... after messing around for 30 mins I gave up and just patched into the wires but.... how do you get the plug out the back of the cigarette lighter? Kennydies
Well, you cant just pull it off (the plug I mean) so there must be some sort of catch, but hell as like can i see it

Kennydies
Well, i was looking at the power point at the passenger foot well. Looking at the back of it it looks like it just pushes on but I think there must be some sort of catch. In the position i was in cant really get a good look at it.
