andis20
I'm finialising my install of Pioneer AVIC F910BT. Does anyone know where I can locate the VSS wire?
BulletMagnet
If that's for the speedo function on the GPS, then it's only needed for more accurate speed measurement. It should work fine without as the GPS will give you a speed reading already.
andis20
Yep, trying to connect all wires as necessary. So no issues with giving instructions too late (eg. turn left or right 10 metres before turn driving at 60km/hr) without the VSS wire connected? BulletMagnet
Nope, not at all. I think that to a certain degree, you get too many warnings from the sat nav, just to make sure you make the turn. For instance when on the motorway, it tells you "Keep right in three quarters of a mile" "Keep right in half a mile" "Keep right in quarter of a mile" "In 400 feet, keep right" So you'll have plenty of time and distance to sort yourself out. andis20
Ok great! 1 less wire I'll have to worry about. Thanks!
marzman
Vss wire is at something like pin 27 of the m42 connector to the ac control unit. I did a diy post locating it. Search in the guides section for a head up display diy, it's in there. Would post the Link but am on my iPhone.

marzman
Ok thanks marzman, i'll search around for your thread. Cheers Am home now on the lapdog... Here is the detail, and the link... i was close... Now, the VSS wire is found on the middle plug (grey - M49), and is pin 26 - which if you're looking down on it is the top row, 3rd hole from the left. My wire was brown with a white stripe. I found the wiring info in this document - on page 47: http://www.myzroadster.com/files/2006%2 ... al/atc.pdf viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18962
