The Hoff
Got a small dink in the alloy after I had it in the garage and accidently let it drop against the workmate. I have filled the dink with metallic filler and wet sanded down so tis all smooth now but finding a paint match is a nightmare. I have tried Halfords Aluminium and Halfords Ford Strato Silver but both are slightly too dark of a shade and even blending looks obvious. The dink is only about 4mm around so dont want to have to respray the whole wheel jsut for that! Any idea of what colour/shade to use? Cheers, Hoff
UNABASHED
surely getting the exact colour made up would be the best thing to do?
ChrisS
Plasticote Silver just only just matches Rays. I know it's not what your after but I could spray a piece of plastic or something and post it to you. You could then put against the wheel and see. Just a thought. The Hoff
If I could get an exact colour match that would great. Nissan dont sell alloy wheel spray paint though Chris -Cheers for the offer but I think I will take the wheel into Halfords and match it on their colour chart. I was hoping someone had already been down this road and knew the exact paint to use.
yeti
dont use halfords use a specialist auto paints shop. One in most large towns and they;ll find the correct colour and advise the correct type of paint
