Ian
I want to fit a double din screen, I've spent the last few days looking & still not found what I want - Must have Sat Nav - Must have bluetooth - Must have Ipod connection (preferably the same way I have it now with the connector hidden away in my centre console) - Must be a 'decent' brand - Must be £450 max I'm not bothered if it can play CDs, DVDs or the radio - aslong as I can plug my Ipod in then I'm happy. Any suggestions
yokomo
with sat nav youl be lucky ! i know BM got his for that but was ex dem which is about the only way youl get one , if you can go with out satnav for a while and add it later then the choice isnt so limited ooorrr try and find a second hand unit. rtbiscuit
with sat nav then i'd go for ex demo avic F900Bt from pioneer without satnav then the 4100dvd from pioneer

Shaun1982
Ive always prefered them to doubles, plus it looks cool when you turn the car on or off & it folds out or in
Ian
Ive always prefered them to doubles, plus it looks cool when you turn the car on or off & it folds out or in But then it would block the gauge that I've fitted in the cubby

RT mine only ever shook if the road was REAL bad plus most the decent ones have some adjustment in them for the screen
H5
Anything Alpine would be my recommendation. But it is unlikely to have all that and be new....
H5
This for example...... http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-ixa-w407bt.html
Ian
Don't mind if its used I know its a tough ask but I've had to ditch my hardwired tomtom now so have no nav
H5
Can you download it to your phone or similar? The unit above would do all you want except the Nav.
Ian
Yeah I've got nav on my iphone but would prefer something more permanent I might be able to stretch my budget a little bit, but would prefer not too
H5
Depends on the price difference of getting something built in or getting a mounting for your phone in the car... Will investigate something......
Ian
I prefer it to look cleaner so don't reall want a holder for the phone
H5
Put £300 on your budget then!! Might not be a 'good brand'.....
H5
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-iva-d106r.html Probably the closest, just need the Navi input.... Might be able to display the iPhone nav on the screen....
Ian
Flip up screen though 've got my wideband in the cubby so need to be able to see that I never said it would be easy
H5
If you mount it in the bottom of the double DIN it will come out and still leave cubby access.
Ian
Would prefer double din I know, I'm awkward
Lincolnbaggie
If you can add £150 to your budget, how about this http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/car-audio. ... navigation
Shaun1982
If you mount it in the bottom of the double DIN it will come out and still leave cubby access. I did this in my fto
yokomo
if youve got an iphone then do like i do, hook the the iphone up the headunits av input and just use the iphoen for controls. i get the guidence and video on my double din with the phone tucked away in th cubby once the route is set. that way you could get the alpine H5 suggested and then add the plugin unit to that later and i rember rihgtly yht new alpine rnage takes the nav as a small dock in so you wouldnt even ahve to run extra wires/re install.
