Right before i get started here i would first like ot make it clear that Japspeed are in no way responsilbe for this and have been very helpfull about the matter.

Ok, Well my exhaust was delivered on tuesday as part of the K2 Group buy. Unfortunately i was back in wales at the time. I quite often have parcels deleivered ot my house while im away, being on and RAF camp security is quite good and the drivers are usually happy to leave the parcels inside the front door. When i am away i leave a not with my contact details and instructions should there be any issues.

I had a call about 10am on tuesday from the DHL driver saying that he was attempting to deliver the parcel but that no one was home, i explained that i was back in wales but would he be able to put the parcel inside the door as usual. He said no probem but the box is damaged.

At this point i stopped ihm and said before you put the parcel in the house what do you mean by damaged? He replied that the box was split and that part of the exhaust was sticking out of the box, he said it looked like one of the flanges.

I said im happy for you to put the parcel in the front door, providing you write that i was accepting the parcel as damaged and that i will be carrying out out a full inspection upon my return.

Anyway i got back Wednesday very excited to see the shiny new exhaust and fit it. But here is what awaited me inside the door.

To say i was shocked was an understatement.

The hole in the box in the last picture i could quite easily have got my head through.

I opened the box to check the contents, then phoned Japspeed immediately to inform them of the damage and to confirm the box contents.

There were some minor blemishes on the back box but to be honest i was just glad that i was all there and in one peice.

I will NEVER use DHL ever again, this isnt the first time i have had problems with them. Previously they left a laptop i had sent away for repair in the back garden of an address 5 streets from mine after forging my signature. The only way i actually got it back was that the nice lady brought it round, the driver in that instance was sacked.

ive had problems with various couriers forging my signature, leaving signed for items out the front door in the rain. one set of bits i once picked up off of my door mat and the box disintegrated with the water, all the bits fell on the floor.:thumbdown:

I've got a mate that's had 3 PS3s because the first 2 were delivered to his house and just left on the doorstep, they never bothered getting a signature for them.

He just rings the company up and says they've not been delivered and they have to send another.

My line of work is a warehouse manager for the NHS so subsequently receive many deliveries on a daily basis. In my experience all carriers are pretty much alike, negligent to say the least! It doesn't matter which company you use they all adopt the same procedures which involve the parcel being thrown on and off vans and chucked around distribution centres. I only return items that are damaged to the degree that they're unusable, if I sent back all the goods that turn up with cosmetic damage I'd have no stock in the warehouse. My personal record was an item of specialist equipment that was delivered damaged and unusable four times before I finally received an intact version. Don't know what the answer is but every supplier I deal with has the same problem with carriers destroying their products

+1 and its up to whoever is sending the item to assume the worst and bubblewrap them to hell! I have had stuff from the States from all the major carriers and they are all the same, but I have been lucky and all the senders have wrapped them very well so no damage. Shocking behaviour still but far too common.
