Envy Valeting
The Aston Martin took up a lot of my time this week and was slotted around http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... p?t=157907 Porsche Sunday, Bentley Monday then started the Aston midday. Aston Tuesday and Weds (full days of machine polishing), Thurs Aston completed and Brera wash job. Anywhere, here is the Aston Martin Vanquish detail. A full paint correction detail and interior as well. Wheels cleaned with my staple Espuma Revolution and Envy brushes, insides done with EZdetail. Bubbly Jubbly snow foam Rinsed, then washed with Espuma Astro, TBM and the Z sponge. Dried off to look a lot better already. Unless you looked in direct sunlight, but thats the reason job:buffer: oh oh oh.... Ready to clay, looks good at a distance. Clayed with Dodo gentle grey, uppers pretty clean. Lowers, well, as you'd expect. Day 2: Beginning to work out what polish and pad combo to use. Thanks to Auto-Detox and JamesB for suggestions. Also had a read of Gleamingkleen's DW posts and tried a lot of combinations. Day 3: De-dusting/IPA etc at the end of day 3. I have never been so happy to pack the rotary away. Ready for bed... Left the car overnight with a nice layer of Swissvax Crystal Rock curing. Day 4: Interior hoovered out, leather cleansed and nourished with Swissvax products. Wax was then buffed off (easy as you like), tyres dressed with Espuma RD50, glass with Espuma green glass, exhaust buffed with Autosol and wire wool, shiny bits cleaned with cleaner fluid. Enjoy the after pics. 3 full days work. My favorite: Thanks for looking. Tim

bronzee
That poor Vanquish was certainly in need of your TLC Tim. Stunning job, just looks an absolute picture.

Maccaman
Superb work as ever. Just shows, what appears to be a gleaming car, can have so many paint defects.
Envy Valeting
When you ditching the Crystal Rock for Swissvax 'Envy' then???? Cheers Stew LOL, my feet are firmly on the ground Had it suggested to me once by Dodo that I should make a wax which I liked the idea of but couldnt see why anyone would want a wax associated with me but who knows! Worse still would be trying to think up a catchy name. If I was going to do it with anyone though it would be The Dodo. Top boys and hearts in the right place.
