ug45cwb
Looks like my Z is using some oil..down to around the bottom of the hashed part on the dipstick. I have to go on a 200 mile journey tomorrow, is there any oil I can get from my local halfords which will do for a topup? How much should I be looking to put in? ug45cwb
The website is recommending 5w40 halfords synthetic. Is this suitable/decent?

Ekona
If you're that low I'd be putting pretty much anything in just to keep the engine lubricated and then doing a full change upon returning home.
AlexZ
Normally you get a liter between the lowest point and max point on the dip stick...Just top it up, wait for the oil to run to the sump then try dipping it again....5/30 or 5/40 fully syn will be cool mate.. andlid
I wouldnt use halfords oil in the first place, but if you top up make sure it's the same type of oil you used before 5-30 / 10-40 and so on.
