goatboy
As my car is up for sale I went through all the ads on pistonheads to get a feel for what is out there and I came up with some stats. They don't take into account private vs trade, extras, GT packs, condition or anything so its not super scientific and I'll probably made a few mistakes however I think its useful. I thought some on here might find it interesting? It excludes roadsters BTW Firstly colours to give an idea of rarity this is what is currently for sale: GM - 34 Black - 25 Silver - 25 Blue - 11 Orange - 5 Red - 1 Yellow - 1 Secondly mileage and pricing currently for sale UK cars: Year-- Average mileage(K)-- Average price 2002-- 97-- 7,250 2003-- 43-- 11,957 2004-- 47-- 12,229 2005-- 38-- 13,312 2006-- 26-- 15,235 2007-- 22-- 17,382 2008-- 8-- 20,609 2009-- 15-- 21,850 Imports: 2002-- 46-- 9531 2003-- 44-- 9536 2004-- 49-- 10,623 2005-- 25-- 11,370 Some other interesting trends: - Non Gt cars seem to be significantly cheaper, over £1k cheaper - Of the 78 UK cars currently for sale only 41 have rays - S2000-4U are advertising around 15 cars so there you are Edit - format to make it read better

goatboy
As a guide whatcar website values a 2004 GT with 40K miles at: dealer 13,325 private 11,820 part exchange 11,345 Which gives you an average of £12,163, which is pretty darn close to what my numbers said, considering the haggle on the adverstised price... beng
Im trying to sell my 350z, think these prices are pretty hopeful. Those that are trying to sell might find it pretty hard to get these prices?
goatboy
Im trying to sell my 350z, think these prices are pretty hopeful. Those that are trying to sell might find it pretty hard to get these prices? Maybe, but it is the advertised prices not the selling prices and there are a lot of factors to consider when looking at prices (trade vs private, location, condition, service history, extras etc.) Its just to give an idea of what is currently out there... jonnyego
Im trying to sell my 350z, think these prices are pretty hopeful. Those that are trying to sell might find it pretty hard to get these prices? Exactly what I was thinking... Probably a bit like goatboy - I spent about an hour a day going through 4 websites looking at all the new 350z's. (Trying to increase knowledge of cars and markets so in July i can buy a good one and spot a deal!) Considering the cars selling - minus about £500 on all these prices and realistically that's what the cars will sell for. ATM there are two 2004 350z with 29000 miles (gunmetal) and 30000 miles (silver) FSH and GT models up for 11,500 each. So 12000 for a 40k mile car is a bit optimistic for a quick sale IMO. toffeeblock
I've been trying to (reluctantly) sell my 2006 300hp GM (non-GT) 59k miles car recently which is in great nick, priced below the Parkers/What Car etc. at £11,250 for quick sale and not had much success so far even corrected for high mileage and the fact it is a non-GT!!! I guess we only see advertised prices so don't really know what they actually sell for. Also, as there aren't that many 350Zs sold every day compared to a Focus or Astra for example I suppose the price guides themselves are less accurate anyway.
