shire350Z
iv never been to clued up on offsets do i take it the lower the number the further out from the hub or......? what offsets are the nismo's? and what should i Zed be using
Stew
depends on width etc but general consensus is if it's +25 or under it's ok generally. If you want it to look mean though you need to be in the teens.
Husky
would teens bring it further OUT to the arch ? cheers

Chris`I
Lower the number the more it sticks out. IMO somewhere around 20-25 is quite conservative, 15-20 is pretty agressive and lower than 15 is mad and mean For reference my Rotas are +25 all round, but I think +20 all round would have been perfect in them
shire350Z
anyone know what the nismo's are then?
Chris`I
anyone know what the nismo's are then? From what I can gather - ~25 on the front and ~20 on the rear EDIT: Or they maybe +30 all round. Found them on Z1auto and there seem to be different specs you can get for the LMGT4s
shire350Z
so if i was buyng some new rims which were ~28 id need 15mm spacers
Husky
so if i was buyng some new rims which were ~28 id need 15mm spacers if you did i'd be gutted because i just got CS to send a set of 15mm spacers back to eibach i will maybe have some 10mm spacers though
Chris`I
Depends on the width of the wheel too. I'm no expert, but with the offset and spacer you want the overall offset to be about 20ish give or take a few mm and of course depending on your preference. shire350Z
so with ~28mm offset a spacer of 15mm would bring it down to ~13 am i right in saying or not?
Ian
IMO a +12 offset sits about right Have a look at Nrenz car, he has that offset

Ian
Mine are +22, I need to find someone local with 10,15,20 & 25mm spacers though so I can test them out & see how far I can go
srobrien
Mine are +20 rear and +15 front and the offsets looks perfect.
rich5259
but what if i go up to 10" wide rims on the rear, do i still need a +15 offset?

Chris`I
but what if i go up to 10" wide rims on the rear, do i still need a +15 offset? yes Not sure its as easy as that, but yes, you keep roughly the same offset as wheels get bigger. Tehnically the offset should get larger numbers to compensate I think. Any good wheel vendor should be able to help with it. The main thing is to start of with the width and offset of a wheel you like and work it from there to make the ones you want to match
