Head Unit

What have you got?

The only requirement it's that has to have a plug for i-pod or some sort of MP3 player and has to look good.

I've been looking around for the last couple of days but couldn't find anything exciting apart for a Pioneer double din but @ £700!!

Anyone knows this model? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1433649.htm

Alpine W203Ri

Got it for under £200. The fitment issue (top left and right) is now resolved as I originally had the wrong surround.

iPod lead pops up in centre tray. :teeth:

Do you still have your bluetooth connected and does the buttons on the steering wheel still work?

i fitted a double din touchscreen unit for danny, a pioneer 4000 somthing or other, was 300quid i think but did everything!

bear in mind all the little fitting bits add up and cost a fair bit ontop sometimes ;)

Was this the one with the sat nav on? From Caraudiosecurity it's around £500.

Look into your unit as well but it's over my budget at the moment ( unless is on sale now :p ).

Just as info, your unit plays cd and radio from the Bose so if the Bose is playing up would I have the same problem ?

Is I-pod or MP3 player possible?and where would I plug it in from?

Don't use Bluetooth (don't really know what it is TBH) Steering wheel controls still work but need some additional wiring from Sextons.

Husky's right. Bill came to £250 with surround and 2 lots of wiring and then £40 to garage to fit.

Just ordered one http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... odID=60808

Not as flashy has a double din but, having a single din will leave space to fit the throttle controller,I-Pod and a in the future a little gadget on the bottom bit of the radio.

Now need to order a facia and cables

i have this bad boy waiting to go in!!! ;)

That looks B) and £100 cheaper than I was quoted

Unfortunatly due to bodyshop expences, tow hook, motorized number plate, throttle controller and next month M.O.T + brakes my budget doesn't extend that much  , but I cant stand the Bose anymore as it is impossible to play anything in it and at £60 can't really go wrong for now :band:

Am I right on purchasing the following item for the new HU? http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/cart.html

And where can I buy the looms ( if needed ) ? Can't find them on here

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/home.html

This is the HU http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_de ... odID=60808

Thanks

First link is for your cart mate, nothing in it!

If you look in the ICE section on here there is link to all the stuff you will need. Just copy the adapter name into google.co.uk and then click the shopping tab. This should give you the companys that sell them in the uk.

You will also need a single din adapter.

You sure you want to go with a silver HU? Isnt it gonna look out of place with all the black?
