Danny 350Z
My Zed is due its 4 year P3 service in August but I'm in the middle of a 6 month 'holiday' to the middle east. The dilemma I have is whether to: a). Get the service done before I go in April, so the car has fresh oil while it sits garaged (Coops is looking after her so it'll be started and moved), or . Wait til I get back in October. Will it be better for the Zed to have fresh fluids whilst it sits?
Smudge
TRUST ME ON THIS! do it when you get back... unless you have someone moving your car on a daily/weekly basis your car will be buggered when you get back!
M13KYF
is there any warranty on the car, if yes i would do before, if no then wait till you get back
Danny 350Z
My extended warranty runs out in May. Why do you think it's better to service with warranty, Mike?
M13KYF
because if the service was late then it could affect your warranty.
Danny 350Z
Ah, the warranty will have expired by the time I get back anyhoo.
Rob_Quads
I would say service it straight away when you get back. When you come to sell it you can explain you were away and serviced it as soon as you got back. It also means when you go to use it again it will all be nicely cleaned out with fresh fluids

rtbiscuit
it won't be moving, people will only notice the mileage, so the interval will be fine. do it when you get back
Husky
if i were a buyer i would rather it had it on time and wouldn't believe any story no matter how plausible, depends on how good your service history is already..?
Ekona
If Coops is looking after her, can you not give him the money and ask if he can take it to get serviced for you? Best of both worlds then.

You know he digs the chicks
