SunsetZed
Not at all, I didn't buy it for the badge! In fact it makes me laugh especially when it's done by someone who owns an Audi / BMW. I just think 'wasthatreally the best car you could afford or did you just likethe symbol on the front?!'

maz0
Not me, I dont mind at all, I actually love the old Datsuns, and its all part of the Nissan heritage and where the 350z eventualy comes from.
rtbiscuit
i'm to young to be affected by the stigma of datsun ownership. but if they ask you "aren't you embarrased of driving a datsun!" your responce is "No, but aren't you embarassed that a datsun is faster and more attractive than your car "
alessandro
Most people around here don't know what make the Zed is, leaving alone Datsun..... Up to few months ago I didn't know what Datsun was either....... whats so "bad" about it? Is it just the badge or else?

rtbiscuit
my parents call it a datsun, only because they think it will wind me up, but it means nothing to me
Vik54
I refer to my car as 'the 5 year old Datsun' Have found is best line of defence when you work in a left wing profession so all your colleagues keep on referring to 'that fancy car oot there'

350 Russ
im not ashamed of it, i just dont like people making derogatory comments about it when they have never driven one or been in one when they think their e36 bmw 318 is the boll***s! they make me laugh! jealousy is not a good look. im still in the process of getting the 'hairdresser' comments from the boys at football

marzman
Datsun was before my time. I've never heard it called that outside of this forum or Top Gear. I normally refer to it as a Nissan though when people ask me. I hate saying i've got a 350z cos i feel like im showing off, so i just say a nissan when they ask what i drive.
