jim
That owners manual doesn't answer the question Stuey asked - it simply refers you to the dealer to check the auto transmission levels.

Thats a good manual then , doesnt even tell you how to check the oil I would imagine the procedure is the same as most auto's ...get the car to operating temp ., place in P and then run through the box set back to P and check level with car on level ground?? lomoto
found this on the workshop manual Checking A/T Fluid ACS000H2 1. Warm up engine. 2. Check for fluid leakage. 3. Remove the tightening bolt for A/T fluid level gauge. 4. Before driving, fluid level can be checked at fluid temperatures of 30 to 50ーC (86 to 122ーF) using “COLD†
Leenx
I might be being extremely thick here - but are we talking about checking oil like you would do on a non Tiptronic car?

jim
found this on the workshop manual 3. Remove the tightening bolt for A/T fluid level gauge. I think Stuey's original question was about not being able to find this gauge. I'm still not sure I can find it on mine.

jim
how do we check the oil level in the auto tip box............ The dipstick is right at the rear of the engine just in front of the bulkhead. Be careful, the stick is about 3 feet long and can be a bit awkward to get back in properly. Jim
