Nuno
I have removed the 350z badges easily but I'm struggling with the nissan badge. I have heated it up with a hairdryer and tried taking it off with cotton thread and dental floss but the threads keep breaking on the nissan badge. Is there anything else I can use instead that will take it off easily without damaging the paintwork. I bought these from ebay to replace them with if anyone wants some, were around £40 inc postage for a pair and arrived within 4 working days.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 3257wt_935
martinmac
Try fishing line bud. I did mine in warmer weather and it does take some time.
Nuno
Thanks. Now I guess I need to work out where to get some from
martinmac
Most garden centres have a similar product too. Dont be tempted to try and shortcut it though, it took me about 20 minutes.
M13KYF
Think I used a a wide flat blade screwdriver with a cloth wrapped around to help move it on
shieldsie
Boil the kettle mate. Use a blunt knife with a cloth or towel prize gently until you can get your fingers under, keep ouring the water. They will come off very easily
Lexx
You know the plastic securing straps you sometimes get around packages? I used that, cut into a point, and a heat gun on low
srobrien
I just prised mine off by hand R
Nuno
Thanks for the advice guys. I'm gona try using boiling water and some fishing wire if I can find somewhere that sells some.
Lexx
Any fishing tackle shop - corse or sea fishing. Quite a few outward bound places sell it too.
nrenz123
Took mine off earlier, fishing line definately works. My best advice would be to make sure you use lots of hot water then get the fishing line underneath and use a sawing action immediately after heating with warm water
terribleone
Are any of the badges rivetted in place? I'd toyed with the idea of losing the 350Z badge and changing the Nissan badges for darker Z badges.
Ekona
If you don't have fishing wire to hand, then dental floss works just as well.
Sarnie
If you don't have fishing wire to hand, then dental floss works just as well. I have heated it up with a hairdryer and tried taking it off with cotton thread and dental floss It does take a bit of patience. I wasn't and scratched mine to buggery and needed chipsaway to come and rectify it at £

jacr87
Try the g/fs nail varnish remover. This works quite well I found.

Mine's a roadster so it was smooth no holes when i took the rear badge off, i did contemplate whether to put the badge on or not. the front had two small tabs sticking out in the recess

JT1703
does removing the rear nissan badge leave any marks or indentation? or is it flush once removed? The bodywork is flush but there are a couple of small holes for locating lugs on the back of the Nissan Burger
