drob
good luck buying your zed, white is nice but why follow trends when you can set them, if you get an white import your insurance will be high, because of your age that's if they are even willing to insure you in the first place tbh when your hearts pumping driving the zed colour wont even come into your mind
alessandro
Welcome love the 350 (or 370 ) in white and to me it doesn't matter which year we are in, but, +1 on buying a white one if you can strech with the money. Where you nick name comes from? In my language Tonto it's not a nice word...

P15UL T
Welcome mate, a handy tip, if your going to repray a car the buy a black one to start with , that way the engine bay wont look out of place, unless of course you are planning to remove the engine

tonto
thanks for the warm welcome people in Plymouth I've noticed its a rare occurrence to see a Zed and never seen a white one here atall! its just stretching to find a white one. and re-sprays, my mate owns his one company, who deal with a lot of custom work and such, and as long as i pay for the paint and beer...he will do the painting for free, cant really go wrong in my opinion. that lexx's one? is gorgeous! other then the 200sx which hardly ran, and was a bag of crap when it did, this will be my first true working RWD car that i will care for! lol as for insurance, i'll be paying 2K fully comp for it. as long as it all goes smoothly, it drops alot when it comes to re-new so to me its worth paying! its just looking at the MPG compared to recent cars! hmmm.... ive seen the figures of 17 around town. aslong as it sticks above 10 i should be a-ok! if not, out with the bike. (i got an XJR1300, it was get another R6 or the Zed)! ive spent the last 2-3 days looking for bits and bobs. and it would pretty much be ; new head unit, a double din / touch screen will be good. (i get discount on a few audio sites, so it'll be a good one) replace the woofers / amp. nothing epic just that bit better for SQ (im a big audio whore! currently with a 148dB saxo!) get a good stance, with a nice set of wheels. slight camber would be nice too! ive already set back myself around the 2k mark for that! which looking around is realistic! when i thought about suspension and brakes, ive realised ill need a fair bit more! so only time will tell! James B
Seriously. What the hell is going on with all the twenty year olds that can afford Zeds?! I don't think I had it hard at that age but could never in a million afford a Zed. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you and you will be the toast of your mates. Just doesn't add up. Shudder to think what the insurance would be too! Gratz tho matey and welcome to the community

Shudder to think what the insurance would be too! Gratz tho matey and welcome to the community lol the insurance is 2K - depending on the age from 54 to 57 thats ive checked varies upto 2800. baring in mind i was paying that for my Yamaha R6 when i was 18. ill be straight, im only an apprentice at Kwik fit! but the pay isnt that bad! plus the advantages as Pirelli rossos will be costing me less than 100 bucks each for 18's insurance and fuel costs on my current saxo and bike isnt bad atall, so ive had my time to save up! and this is what its added up to getting a Zed. hard work, saving, and really wanting to **** off my mates! rtbiscuit
god i can't pull myself to pay that much for insurance. just don't see it as worth it fuel at the moment is a tough one, tank will set you back about £80 at the moment, and on average should see you do about 300 miles. if you want to keep costs down, don't buy anything from april 2006 on as roadtax is £440 (which i pay ) cars before that are half that. fair play to you for going for it,

andlid
thought my insurance was bad fair play for spending that much before you even get going to move the bloody thing! Its well worth it if you get to lash around a bit though You'll be well used to speed from the R6 I'd say (have a 00 sitting in the back), did you ever go on track with the bike? Wish I'd gotten this yoke in my twenties best of luck with whatever you get and hope you'll keep at it a/

Working at Kwik Fit must pay damn well! being the apprentice, i take home around 850 a month + bonus. once im qualified fitter goes to 1100 + bonus which can be anything from 50 to 500 + then when im service tech, 1500 + bonuses which is alot more than a fitter! that is take home! so after tax and such. which for the easy job it is, and the benifits of working there too, unlimited ramp acess, tools at hand, trade prices for alot fo parts and on tyres, cheap MOTs and servicing. i.e serviced a mates saxo VTS this week on my day off, air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, sparks, and oil for engine and gear box, cost me 25 quid, ish... Gratz tho matey and welcome to the community Touchy subject... I've been in full-time work since I left school. Mummy always did her best to make me 'save half, spend half', which worked. "Follow the flock, step in @*!#." So, I won't go out every Fri/Sat (like most worker bees do), after a hard week's work to p*ss it up the wall. Now I have a little something to show for it. Although I may never be a millionaire, I'll be sure to carry on trying to make the most out of life. Even if that means having to bust a bollock and sacrifice a little social time out. Hey, bud. Mind if I ask, 'are you getting this on finance'?
