mylesmcg
I changed the oil about 6000 miles ago and the oil light flickered yesterday. Is is this normal?
Stew
Nope. Do you regularly check the oil? Did it just flicker momentarily? If the oil light comes on in a Zed it's BAD news. It actually means that the oil pump is starved.
rtbiscuit
if the car is running well it should use any oil up, i've gone 9000 miles without ever having to top mine up. but you do need to check it every week. or 2 weeks at the most. if that light comes on it could be expensive. Trev-the-Rev
You haven't checked the oil for 6000 miles

mylesmcg
the light just flickered. why would it use up all the oil? what could be wrong? i had a spare litre of oil from the last time so i stuck that in and i have new stuff ordered
rtbiscuit
if it flickered it might just mean that it wasn't filled with enough oil last time. who serviced it last?

If not, I would suggest doing that pronto.
