introspect
After the cold weather I seem to suddenly have an annoying squealing sound from my auxiliary belts. Can't actually hear it from within the car, except with widows down. Is this something that is likely to be covered under warranty or is it classed as a consumable item? 350zjimbo
I'd be very surprised if you could get that covered under Waranty. Funny though as I have exactly the same problem with mine after the weather.

UNABASHED
a lot of people have complained of this after the cold weather. I'd play it safe and get them replaced anyway, cheap and easy DIY job anyhow

Rob_Quads
I had my belts replaced just before the cold snap. As it started to get colder my belts started to squeal. It ended up they were a bit too loose and the cold weather meant it resulted squealing. What does this mean. If your belts are old its because they are probably stretched and a bit loose. You can either tighten them up a bit (but this may break them) or replace them. If your belts are in good condition just a little tighten up will probably sort them. P19DRO
I had my belts replaced and it would still squeal till the engine warmed up, turned out the nut on the pulley for the main belt was far to tight. Destroyed the nut getting it off as well
