magrillz
Hi, Right, I have decided to go for an all in one Head unit with Sat Nav and Bluetooth etc so gone for the Pioneer AVIC F910BT. My car is a post 2007 with Bose. I’m now in the process of getting the connectors sorted and thought I’d drop an email to InCarTec to confirm a few things. One of the guys there has advised to get best results from the Pioneer (low voltage pre-outs) to go for the following combo: 29-645 ... Nissan steering control £29.99 29-020 ... Pioneer interface £9.99 20-273 Bose interface £39.99 ( 4 channel adjustment) Basically, I think this is the non-Bose loom coupled up to a Bose interface. He says this will give the best results for the volume issue. It looks to me like I’d be taking high level inputs from the head unit which would then be amplified by the Bose amps. Anyone seen/heard a similar setup to this before? Thanks in advance. Just hope the Pioneer is OK as heard some reports the touch screen can be slow. Apparently the F910 may be quicker though. Possibly due to firmware I suspect which can be downloaded to the F900 anyway. Thansk in advance
yokomo
that doesnt lok right to me . 29020 correct ,20645 is as you stated for none bose but i cant seem to find the 20273 on the site. if you are worried about volume issues then you need a line driver. confuzed
The 20-273 is just another version of the PAC interface... http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/ict/p~20-273.html?cat=0 I held off getting the PAC or a line driver to see how my install was without it, and I certainly couldn't describe it as quiet. The spec's for my HU do say the line outs are "1V to 4V", I don't know if that makes a difference, but I assume the top of the range unit you're looking at would be the same. magrillz
Cheers guys, The Pioneer Website just says low level pre-outs. I’ll have a look in the box tonight (not really had the chance yet as had people over the weekend). I was thinking about trying it without but once the dash is out then I’d like to just have everything ready as may ask for help off a friend of the family who does installs. I am guessing he means that the ICT 20-273 booster will plug into the Bose side and then the non Bose adapter into that. Might be worth me ringing them and double checking. I’ll ring them and get back to you in case you are interested. Nice one
