narcotix
Hey, I've noticed that since it got really cold recently my headight washers haven't been functioning ... I put to down to them being frozen as it was bitterly cold then ... I've since tried them today and although it's not T-shirt weather yet, I thought it was warm enough for them to defrost if that was the case ... but still no movement from the washers .. When I press the button under I can hear the noise like it's trying to do something but that's all ... Any ideas to help diagnose the issue or even resolve it? mc
It might be that the headlight washers might stop working before the windscreen washers run out? try topping up the washer bottle?
Chris`I
Yup, try topping up the washer level, headlight washers stop working before the screen ones, its like a little reminder to top up
Ian
Have you got the lights on? They only work with them on. It took me ages to figure that out & ended up soaking my brother when I figured it out
narcotix
Thanks for the responses guys ... I've just filled up the washer reservoir and the headlight washers are back to life I also noticed that my rear washer isn't working (only just figured ot that you have to push the stalk in the other direction) ... it's making all the right noises but no water ...it's not a big deal but I like everything to work as it's intended ... LoL any ideas?
ATTAK Z
The rear probably needs bleeding - I doesn't have a separate reservoir AFAIK - try repeat activating and it should pump through

mc
I've had a problem with my previous cars that the rear washer jet tubing had frozen and popped the connector off the end, so filled some random part of my car with washer fluid
narcotix
Thanks again ... I'm surprised I missed that ...
M13KYF
from another post... the non return valve is just under the plastic cover at the top of the rear window. New ones can be purchased from Halfrauds for a couple of quid
narcotix
I thought I'd sort the rear washer jet problem yesterday as I had nothing better to do ... It's a bit fiddly to change over but overall it was very easy to sort out ...
