jasonlycett
Hi Chaps Been listening to various clips of exhaust's to decide which one to fit on my car. Realistically the Scorpion and japspeed k2 are the only ones in my range. Really like the raspy tone of the Scorpion but noticed people don't fit y-pipes with them typically. Is there a reason why it wouldn't fit a generic y- pipe, and more importantly would the volume difference be noticeable ?, would it be louder than a K2 with a y pipe ? I know i need to go along and listen to some but im impatient! thanks!
dcash5
Because they dont come with a Y pipe from the facotry (probs the reason why people dont) unlike the 5zigen, Nismo etc
3FIDDYZ
Dan (dcash5) with a scorpian is on here, 2nd one nismo y-pipe fitted now and sounds much better! And he will tell you not as loud as a K1!
AndWood
I don't have the Y pipe on mine but after the initial problems fitting it the Scorpion has been spot on, it’s loud but not too loud and is easy to live with on long journeys. It's a great exhaust for the ££££
dcash5
Mine didnt have a Y on then

Value wise it's a hard exhaust to beat
Zedman
I have the Scorpion fitted but I don't think it is any louder than the stock exhaust - it sounds nicer but not louder in my opinion. Suits me though!
Mark@Abbey m/s
Scorpion system is a little louder than a STD system , if fitted with a Y pipe and a remap gives a gain in bhp/torque. Mark

Suits me though! Really!? Mine is much louder! I had mine fitted in November and have not been able to give it the 'beans' but under 4k it sounds the same as the stock exhaust. Do you mean at higher revs than that?!
SunGodRA
dont be a wuss! - get a K1
jasonlycett
I like the K1 but im not sure i like the large cans. Im looking for volume with discreet looks if possible!
