B3N
Hi all Hope every1 is well and driving safe Just a few thoughts on lowering? The car will look awesome just a bit lower. I lowered my s2000 on eibach springs but had an extreme taper which lead to lots of inside tyre wear and had to buy a camber kit. Ive heard the suspension setup on the z if different. If I lower it will I get taper still? I know coilerovers give you fantastic performance also the perfect ride height but is it worth it? Really would like to avoid any negative camber What my Z looks like now: Any thought would be hugely appreciated Cheers, Ben
Sarnie
No idea about lowering it but your zed is You do however, need a stubby aerial
Kev946
Hi Ben, I lowered mine by 0.6 inch front and back. Up to an inch and the camber is still within spec. I went for RS-R Ti2000 springs which are recognised as about the best setup for the Zed. They are about 10% stiffer so the ride doesn;t change much. PS: Those are Piaa Super Rozza's aren't they? One of my favourite wheels. Cheers K

Kev946
Ben, There is a tolerance or range which is acceptable for camber. The rear has an offset nut so does have a tiny amount of adjustment, but nothing on the front. If you go beyond 1 inch drop you will need adjustable camber arms front and back to bring it back with tolerance. I found all of this from my350z.com by checking experiences of other spring setups. For non coilover, the best seems to be RS-R, others are Tein and Hotchkis. I got mine with my wheels from the states. They seem to be difficult to get hold of, but try one of the US 350z specialist sites such as 350zonline.com or UltimateZ.com Hope this helps. PS: Val, (TheMinel), has now got mine but not yet fitted.

Rob2005
I had the Same set up as your S2000 on mine then Ben. However when i simply added the Eibach springs on the S2000 i found the standard shocks couldnt cope and although it was better it didnt feel right. I know the Z is a completely different car but what i wouldnt want to do is lower it on the standard shocks and then find they cant cope and have to buy shocks after. Would a coilover set up be the best option or do the springs on standard shocks do the job??
M13KYF
PS any1 got any pics of a stubby aerial so i can see what they look like Ben Just look on ebay under 350z. You'll see one there on a UY GT4. It's where most members have got theirs from.

Would a coilover set up be the best option or do the springs on standard shocks do the job?? That's exactly what happend to me. I installed the RS-R's on the Zed and felt the standard shocks weren't up to the extra loading. I also had 19's on BTW. The standard shocks IMHO are crap and are just on the limit. The car was OK most of the time, but just wasn't damped enough when pushing on bumpy roads. I went for Tokico D-Spec's and the hadling was transformed. Miles better than standard and adjustable of course.
