stanski
Obviously a zed fan wonder when we will get the free satnav in Uk then?
spursmaddave
I've tried the tomtom app on my jailbroken iPhone and while it's a nice app it's far from usable as an everyday satnav, it's slow and obviously the tony screen makes it impractical and unsafe to use really. Voice instructions are ok but you need to look at the screen too...
stanski
I've heard the same kind of thing about the Tomtom on the wonderphone. Now if I can somehow port my Navignon maps from my pocket loox to the iPhone then I will be happy
rtbiscuit
i prefer the standalone units like my pioneer, fast, bigger screen, more functions etc. i was always told something that does everything is never as good as something designed to do one job. when you have a unit thats all singing all dancing there has to be some compromises, i tend to find on PDA units it used to be slow to make changes, like coming up to a junction you could end up going past before it tells you to turn off. rich5259
I feel the same as biscuit, a satnav needs a decent size screen and fast response to update your location and direction or you could miss the turn.
