Replacing bose stereo and speakers.

I have search thoughly on this forum and had no luck with all my questions.

 

I am going to buy an import 350z and will want to replace the bose stereo.

 

I have found that you have to replace the speakers as well.

 

Can anyone recomend speakers to fit the current setup? If this is a 6 speaker set up how do you wire a aftermarket head unit to 6 speakers?

 

Or just give a list of kit someone has already installed will give me an idea on what is needed. Including the wiring loom and facia adaptor?

 

I am leaning towards a pioneer unit, does anyone know how easy it is to wire the optional stearing wheel control unit in?

 

I have seen how to fit the speakers, take door cards off etc.

 

Several people are after the same info on how to replace the bose stereo so if all the information gets compiled perhaps we could make a sticky?

As for the adaptor, I think it might be a Micra one from discussions I've had with my dealer (stereo, not Nissan). And I think you can get the steering wheel control to work too, but we're going to be testing that very soon with my change. Someone else here should be able to answer for sure.

thanks for the quick response, is all a bit premature as i dont have a 350z yet but am looking at one in an hour.

 

Think i am going to go for the option of replacing everything. I definately need a HU that plays mp3 disks.

I know that most of them do that, but you do lose some of the sound quality. Alpine units really do sound good and the last few years worth have been good too.

 

If you're looking for a head unit I have one going soon.....
