H5
Am thinking of going there and driving it for a bit and getting them to come out with me. Seems a little unnecessary. Way my weekend has gone I can see this being the third piece of bad luck!!

H5
Nothing to the car. Just said if it comes back then take it back without booking it in and they'll do a job card there and then. He did say there are definitely two bulletins on this subject though.

Chesterfield
Just to bring this back to life again - I now have the clicking rear axle problem. Less than 7k on the clock. Has anyone had this successfully resolved? Has anyone got theTSB's for it. At least that way I can go into the dealer armed with "anti fob off" paperwork. Have Nissan actually acknowledged this as a problem? Ive paid not far off £30k for a car that has developed noises I would expect from a 15 year old ford escort, and the Nissan dealer network seem oblivious to it. Great work Nissan - how to ensure customers spend their next £30k elsewhere. In all seriousness, I reckon this is something we need to take up en-masse to get some sort of resolve, if not recal from Nissan. Clicky rear axle meet somwehere near Hertfordshire, say Rickmansworth way?
Removed
mine's still there... when the oem wheels go on in October I'll have it done then. but there's 2 fixes out mate... dealers should be ALL aware of it...
Chesterfield
If there are two known TSB's out, then as you say, the dealers "should" be aware of it... What do you reckon the chances of my dealer saying.. "never heard of that before" are....

bundy
Had this problem on my import so followed the TSB for taking out the drive shaft, greasing it up and rotating 180 degrees. Easy job and my car has now been click free for a month, will wait and see if it it returns. TSB - http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/Bul ... 04-065.htm They also appear to have all other TSBs on this site too. I would recommend using standard grease, I did and seems fine. I ordered the stuff recommended in the TSB and had a nasty shock with a bill for £200, needless to say it was returned.

bundy
Glad to be of help. Regarding the type grease, I just went with the same copper based stuff I used on the back of my brake pads. As for doing a DIY post, there is not much more I can add to the TSB, I pretty much just followed that step by step. You may find it useful to have a rubber mallet or similar around in order to persuade the drive shaft to come out of the hub. For a bit of backgroung info, before finding the TSB I went to West Way Nissan in Coventry, who, after driving my car around the car park for 30 seconds, informed me that I required both CV joints and bearings replacing at the minor cost of £688 - It really does appear Nissan in the UK do not have a clue! And if you're interested - my car's still click free
SwissZ
It really does appear Nissan in the UK do not have a clue! Not just Nissan UK. Nissan Switzerland are naff as well! I had mine in for the clicking noise today. This was their second attempt after orignally telling me some spring or other in the braking system was causing it So far so good repair wise, clicking seems to have disappeared......
