BladesGrant
got quoted £260 if they repair my bumper but they said it wont be very strong one little bump and it might split again!!!!or £270 if i take them a second hand bumper and they spray it and fit it does this sound about rite or does anyone know how much to spray a bumper would be as i can fit it myself if not too hard ? ? That sounds a little pricey for the full spray on the rear bumper IMO. Don't see how it costs £10 more to spray a good bumper than to repair and spray a damaged one. They would virtually have to spray the repaired one to make the colour blend. Again all just my opinion. Also I have a rear bumper but in GM unfortunately!! SunGodRA
I had my roof primed and sprayed, drivers side skirt and part of my front wing sprayed (and blended) for £225 - this was with a reputable paint shop and they did a fantastic job (albeit is was a cash in hand job - you only have ask!) Spraying a rear bumper is a lot less work, so should be even cheaper Dave

player2301
Lads thought i might try the SMART repair route for a quote out out of interest and i got this reply WHAT YA THINK ?????? I just want it sorted it killin me Hi Gavin, Nasty bump. We can repair the bumper and possibly save the light by repairing the brackets, if there are still there The dent and crack is going to be abit tricky, so to cover my self, I would say we could at least get the repair around 95% if not perfect, hard to say until repair is on the way. We will need car for whole day. We have done similar repairs before, and got a perfect repair. Low down. Bumper including materials and labour £95. If we can save the the light £39 additional. We are pretty much booked out, have slots this Sat or Sun morning. I guess body shop bill would cost you around £400. We will give you a 2 year guaranttee. Need to know by tommorrow morning, £50 cancellation charge. Thankyou. www.carsmartsite.com

SunGodRA
thats what i thought to be honest will the bumper be as strong once its been cracked ? At the end of the day the bumper is a flimsey bit of plastic anyway, with little strength, and is designed to absorb impact - I wouldnt be concerned about any cracks at all (providing they arent visible!) AlexZ
I would pay the bodyshop and accept it mate, we as a bodyshop have rectified lots of the smart repairs that customer havent been happy with. £230-£270 is a fraction of the price for a full new replacement. With anything in life if you want it right you have to pay. Just pay once and be happy is my experiance... Alexz

dwj100uni
So are you going down the cheap repair route or the full bumper respray? I have a similar crease but have not got it fixed yet and was interested in how this would turn out! Thanks, David
player2301
Expensive route me thinks just because if they fook it up I'll be back to square 1 and I'll feel like killing someone lol. Bbk is trying to remove all the wiring for the sensors. I don't know if they will work on mine but have looked on eBay and they have some that look similar for £35 sooooo
