givememorepower
Simple. Pull the hoses off the injectors and see if water comes through when you hear the motor turn.
marzman
Will be a £2 non return valve from halfords. Open the bonnet, remove the brake fluid cover, reach under and unclip the pipes. There will be 2 valves under there - a Y shaped valve and a non return valve. It is usually this piece which gets blocked.

bigmike20vt
Hi my front and rears are not working (again!) it happend about 6 months ago then fixed itsself. the headlight washers are fine however. is this still likely to be one of the valves? cheers edit.. damn i blindly replied to a search (at least i did a search) i just realised this is the import section, mine is a uk car though i imagine they are the same thanks
Tackleberry
Thread Resurrection! I have this issue, i do not have a non return valve as i replaced with a straight through piece of copper pipe. HAs been working fine but suddenly stopped working. The pump is not firing up when you pull on the windscreen washer stalk in the car. Is this a fuse? was the fix ever found? cs2000
Will be a fuse (drivers footwell) or a dead pump. They do die if people operate them (or try) when the screenwash is frozen, OR if you use tap water the calcium build up can kill it.
Jay M1988
I've looked in the drivers football but I'm struggling to work out which is the fuse to check? Any ideas or diagram of fuse layout within the drivers footwell My washer pump doesn't make any noise at all, so I swapped the pumps over an the rear window pump mustn't be as powerful as water is trickling from the wipers. Lyger
I've got the same issue did anyone find the fuse ?
kevinmwatters
Guys any update on this one?Having the same issue, but drivers footwell fuse box doesn't clearly designate which fuse is for the front (or any) screen washers?
GMballistic
Guys any update on this one?Having the same issue, but drivers footwell fuse box doesn't clearly designate which fuse is for the front (or any) screen washers? Does it not list the fuses on the lid? Something like this?... I have never looked at mine so not sure whether it has a diagram layout of the fuses or not but most vehicles usually do. kevinmwatters
It does have a diagram like this, but most of the entries are blank. Certainly don't have a washer designated fuse as shown above?

kevinmwatters
Ok, photos seem to generally make these discussions a little easier. Heres what I have currently; Fuse box (Pic 1) and lid (Pic 2) in the battery compartment, along with headlight washer relay in battery compartment (Pic 3), no "washer" designated fuse, only one for the headlight washers, which I believe are seperately fused? Pic 1; http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag366/Kevinmwatters1/fuses2_zps36b35afa.jpg Pic 2; http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag366/Kevinmwatters1/fuses1_zps084b896a.jpg Pic 3; http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag366/Kevinmwatters1/fuses4_zpsd9d11340.jpg Otherwise, there is just the 2nd fuse box in the drivers footwell, the cover of which looks like this (again, no specific reference to washers); http://i1373.photobucket.com/albums/ag366/Kevinmwatters1/fuses3_zps73ed6e4c.jpg Any ideas? philw99
I never found the fuse just swapped the pump fixed the issue for me. Really cheap just time consuming to replace.
retro_al
I have the same problem, must be a fuse as ive checked the wires onto the pumps and there no live when operating the stalks, but I cant find the fuses in the drivers footwell
retro_al
It was the pumps after all, I had a new one in garage for a escort, tried it and it worked, they still seem a bit weak but at least they are working
