srobrien
Watched it on IPlayer this morning.......it kinda sucked! Apart from the road at the end and the gypsy village it was all pretty boring. R
M13KYF
thought the Romania section was all too staged. For sure most of them are but this time it seemed even more obvious.
bounty78
+1. Yeah..them driving through the gypsy village and spending the night under the dam. Is it just me but Top Gear seems to be testing out just lavish cars that only footballer could afford. Every car road tested on that show is worth 6 figures!! Or the top end of 5 figures. Fifth Gear is probably the least popular of the two but sometimes they have the right balance and mixture of cars. Top Gear has better entertainment values though. I couldn't give a monkeys if the mazda 6 has 3 or 4 cup holders or if a bugaboo thing fits in the boot or a nissan note or not. On 5th gear though Tiff and Jason Plato were ace. Rob_Quads
Funny I was saying the same to a couple guys at work. We all thought Top Gear of recent times is no more. Now its the odd car test and them some challence with some of the most obvious staged events its just not funny. Its now turned into background TV to me
Gaz Walker
It's escapism. Best post on here. I don't view it as a car program, TBF I couldn't give 2 hoots if they thought a car was good or not that they were reviewing. Its an entertainment program and it does that job very well. bounty78
They will always be mixed opinions about everything..it's a bit like Marmite. To be honest, i like both of them Top Gear and Fifth Gear..ie anything to do with cars.

Got to say I loved it, great cars, great guest and great laugh. Yeah it's staged and a bit too much at times but how awesome was It in those tunnels and the road at the end. bounty78
Yeah..it's a lot of money them cars but it always look like they couldn't care less. Wish i could have a job like that and earning big bucks and staying in a big mansion like Hammond and gang.
