Alex did you ever get a bike rack from the "local company" you mention here

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=27602&start=0

any more info? cheers.

Evening mate, to be honest I havent had the need for one since I started riding with a new group of lads. They have vans and the others have racks so I just chip in with the fuel .....

Sorry I wants much help...

The best looking rack I have seen is the Boofsquire but I cant find it in the UK, looks like you buy the frame then the attachments you need for your sports. The straps are short and theres good padding where the frame meets the car.

Hope this helps.

Ok, I found the next couple of mods second hand from **REMOVED**....I found the forum after typeing earthing kit into Google.

Carbon Air Intake Pipe.

This kit came with all the rubber sleeves and jubile clips etc. I decieded to order some silicone hose sleeves because I was informed the carbon pipe was a little long and I thought modding would be required.

IMAG0010.jpg

As you can see the pipe was way to long lol...I took the bread knife to it, couldnt find my hacksaw anywere and it was raining.

Quick before image

IMAG0011.jpg

Remove the retaining clips from the front air duct.

IMAG0015.jpg

IMAG0016.jpg

Remove the air filer box bolt (10mm) and pull the box up to release it.

IMAG0014.jpg

Disconnect the MAF sensor.

IMAG0012.jpg

Finally unscrew the the jublie clip holding the upper section of the pipe to the plenum. Please bear in mind theres a 10mm bolt holding the intake pipe to a bracket half way down the pipe to the plenum top and a breather hose on the underside.

IMAG0013.jpg

With the pipe and box out you need to remove the the MAF sensor and pipe extension tube.

IMAG0018.jpg

IMAG0020.jpg

:teeth:

Replace the plastic pipe extension with the alloy mateing plate supplied in the carbon pipe kit.

IMAG0019.jpg

Screw the MAF sensor into the location made in the carbon pipe.

IMAG0021.jpg

Refit the hole shizzle and enjoy the final result.

If i'm honest I need the silicon to be a little longer on the filter box to pipe section but it all works for now.

A really good write up on the air intake  love the carbon piece and the blue silicon rubber things are perfect, and to keep the original air box is spot on.

Cheers

Cheers mate, thinking about the lenght of the carbon pipe now I assume it should be used with a direct bolt on filter not the OE air box lol... nothing me and bread knife cant sort thought. :yahoo:

Any magical increase in performance (or smoother idling) with the earthing kit? ;)

Not at all mate, it feels no different what so ever in my opinion.... I must admit I havent really drove her much since the changes though and I did do them both at the same time so no real way of know what it is if there is a change without removing one of the mods lol.DOH

The day before I did have the air box half connected and half loose and that felt better lol...but you should really use a filter lol.

I would like to say a quick thanks to Hamster for the Philip Bulbs and brake pads after the px of his "Z". I whipped out the orange bulbs yesterday and whacked in the silver ones to match my fronts. Few images...

With the bulbs done I gave her a quick clean inside and the seats some Poor Boys Leather Care.. I was really inpressed with the leather care and would recommend it to other if they havent bought one yet.

IMAG0110.jpg

Remove any parts that may make the covering harder

IMAG0111.jpg

Clean the part within an inch of its life

IMAG0112.jpg

Find your Di Noc

IMAG0113.jpg

Cut the Di Noc to size, close as possible

IMAG0114.jpg

Fit theflat section first, this is the easiest

IMAG0115.jpg

Warm the rest with a hair drier or heat gun and work it baby

IMAG0116.jpg

IMAG0117.jpg

IMAG0118.jpg

When you happy just stand back and admire before the final stage of trimming

IMAG0119.jpg
