srobrien
Went to pick up a parcel from the postal office this morning and CRACK!! battered my lip off the damn speed hump! Im fed up with it now its the second time its been repaired and its getting too expensive. I need some suggestions on what to replace it with. I really liked the greddy as it was different and suits the agressive v2 spoiler and bonnet but it was perhaps a bit too low. Cheers R
stanski
Ouch! maybe think about strengthening it underneath with a steel brace of some sort - and bonding it to the underside - use a string adhesive to repair that crack?

Spaceman
I used to do that all the time with my VR6 chin spoiler, pain in the arse. feel for ya mate. I suggest somebody come up with an electronic auto raising suspension so as soon as sensors pick a speed bump it raises the car by an inch or two
Woody
Oooh nooo. Thats not good at all. Really like this lip aswell
Chesterfield
Is your car lowered? I've had a problem with mine scraping, and its taken a couple of knocks on Wales/Scotland drives, but its never cracked, only ever scuffed under the corners near the wheel arches (lowest point). Has it cracked in the same place as a previous break? Perhaps this is the reason for it going again and the whole thing is weakened now? As above, perhaps a thin steel brace mounted on the inside of the lip may help, but having that made and fitted may outweigh a few simple repairs each time? rich5259
you could send the bits to CarbonCoops and get him to make you one in carbon He'd have to sell it as Greedy Style but even BM might like it
choptop
May be worth a go, but if your car is standard height, how about asking the owner of the speed hump to pay for the damage?
srobrien
Yeah my car is lowered and as it was an aftermarket lip theres no chance they will pay for it. I took it off and its totally snapped in half so its pretty much beyond repair in my eyes. May get the VS lip from envy but im still undecided.
