CFC109
I'm sure this is a stupid question. but its 'easy if you know it' When you leave the car and the ignition is off, is there any problem with leaving switches flicked? i.e. leaving the the wing mirrors switch to close or open (so they open when you get in) or should you return it to the neutral spot? Same question with the heated seats, if you leave these in the on position by mistake - no problem? I cant see there being as all power will be off, but you never know. Also, just put the bluetooth adapter in, i assume this is OK just left in all the time. Ok, enough of the stupid questions, just thought id check! UNABASHED
I'm sure in the manual it says to never leave the heated seat switches on, never heard anything about the mirrors switch though - I know I don't put it to the neutral position every day! Maccaman
Leaving any switches in the on position means they will draw juice as soon as you turn the ignition on. Motors on start up normally draw a lot more juice than normal. The bluetooth adaptor is ok to leave all the time.
Husky
they wont draw current as they are also switched by the ignition but it doesnt do the starting process any favours having them draw at the worst possible moment (starting). you can get away with it yes. but in a cold start it is very important not to switch everything on before start or straight away. The alternator can only supply so much current at ccertain revs and the COLD battery must take up the slack, killing it pretty quick.
