HEADPHONES
My music collection was mainly Hiphop/RnB but a friend introduced me to some Linkin Park and Limpbizkit stuff. Broadened my musical tastes. Never thought I'd enjoy anything "rock" like but ended up buying a few of their CD's. Can anyone recommend anything similar for me to check out? Stew
Maybe not the same but Goo Goo dolls and Foo Fighters are well worth checking out. You listened to any classic stuff?

Yup, Its Nurock your looking for. IMO normal rock is pretty rubbish. check evernesance, papa roach and older slipknot stuff. You kinda missed they hayday of the nurock about 6-7 years ago. Beastie boys new album is also rock influenced and young wheezy lil wayne is also doing some rock inspired stuff.
srobrien
- Metallica - Korn - Papa Roach - System of a Down - Deftones - Incubus - Lost Prophets - Rage against the machine - Finch - Billy Talent - Bloodhound Gang (good for a laugh) That should keep you busy, I know Metallica is 'old school' metal, but if you actaully take time to listen to the music up loud you will realise why they are the gods of rock. Im no 'metal head' but I can honestly say they are fantastic, especially the S&M album when they play with a full orchestra, gives me shivers listning to it. srobrien
I would also higly recommend "In Silico" by Pendulum, more dance/rock but its still an awsome album, one of my all time favourites. R
tmJak
+1 with Nurrish's recommendation with Hed PE. They're a hip hop metal crossover, so you might like them. My missus hated metal and rock until she heard them, and now there's a few things she's got into. Also . Bit of heavy stuff and some singing bits too. Loving the 'Ten Thousand Fists' album by Disturbed atm. Got a great Phil Collins cover on it
HEADPHONES
Many many thanks for all your replies. Not having "really" listened to this genre before, you can imagine almost all your recommendations sound new and exiting to me DESPITE ME BEING 6-8yrs TOO LATE More than enough here to keep me busy and help to create a long Christmas list Can't believe how narrow minded I've been all these years. I suppose it has alot to do with being influenced by my peers in my youth where the closest thing to rock that was accetable was RunDMC's "walk this way"
3FIDDYZ
Few the others have suggested are high up on my ipod as are AlterBridge, made up of a band called Creed with a new lead singer. Funny enough Creed are on the playlist too!!

Gilly199
DISTURBED ftw. Every album is amazing. few others. (not mentioned) Spineshank (can cause excesive speeds and agressive cornering if played in car) find asthmatic and make much loudness static x (can cause ears to bleed ) Fair enough these are a couple of more mental bands but they do have a few hidden gems in their albums. apart from spine shanks strictly diesel album - that sucked more the the Devil fuel its named after.
