waylander
Hi all Been about a year now since I purchased and fitted my JWT popcharger and I reckon is about time I gave it some TLC. How do other forum members service their popcharger ? Thanks
rtbiscuit
i have a K&N filter, and i also have the recharge kit for it. its a wash and re oil job. i think the JWT is the same. personally i want to swap the oiled filter out for a dry filter like the Apexi, then its just a wash and dry job
Ekona
I don't clean mine at all. For the cost of it, and not wanting to risk getting oil over the MAF, I just bin the filter and replace it with a new one which IIRC was about £65 from Envy. Chris`I
Clean it with a K&N recharge kit. Do mine every other service (20k miles) and never had a problem in the 2yrs I've had it. Follow the instructions and dont go mad with the oil. Overoiling only happens for muppets that splash it on way too much
jerry3167
I am about to change mine JWT with a clean, fresh, oiled one, I also have the K&N cleaning kit to restore the dirty one!
Spen
I used the K&N cleaning kit on my JWT, didn't realise how dirty it was until I watched all the black crud and dead flys going down the sink!. If you use a brush to get in the pleats make sure it's very soft and go easy with it otherwise you can damage the cotton gauze stuff and as others have said just go easy with the oil. When you rinse it only rinse from the inside outwards as well.
