Jezzer99
I'm a newbie here so go gently on me Drove a 370z (GT auto) for the first time this weekend (in fact the first ever zed I've driven). First impression? Okay here goes: 1. Wow... straight light performance great, nice but not great engine noise. Auto great in full auto mode. 2. Roundabouts - huge potential to get unstuck, in manual mode in second the car's dashboard was like a Xmas tree with traction lights. 3. Interior - nice but busy, like the half suede, half leather. Down sides? 1. Buying experience - arrived fresh from a Porsche Centre (always good experience), dealer didn't know I was coming (someone in the centre hadn't told them), all a bit vague. 2. Dealer didn't know much about the car and nothing about some of the main competition (in my mind the Cayman and Audi TTS). 3. No brochures or pricelists in available - best I could get was a photocopy! (Almost) Finally, and this irritates me massively - no way I could get a 24 hr test drive. I can do it in a Cayman, why not a 370z??? And finally... is it really that much better than a 350z???
Stew
I'm afriad to say that the dealer network lets the higher end Nissans down massively. They will be well versed on 1.2S Micras I bet..... That isn't good enough though! Drive a 350Z and you'll be able to make your own comparisons.
Jezzer99
Nissan need to treat the 370z like the GT-R - it's just so different from the rest of the range and deserves specialist knowledge.

I absolutely agree. Maybe worth giving Nissan GB customer services a call and explaining that you'd like a 24hour test drive.
3FIDDYZ
24h test drives are available... Or at least extended ones are anyway.. Worth going to a Nissan High performance Centre for better help and assistance as they are set up for selling GT-R and 370 not just micras... Not any excuse as I have loads of bumpf on the 370 but as they are new out then they may have run out.. Not good on the knowledge though, but they may have known all the differences between a micra and a fiat 500 or a Patrol and a Land Cruiser.. Unfortunatly even how good the 350 and 370s are audi and porsche will give a better buying experience, not that the cars are better over all when all things are considered! You could sign up for the track day on the 29th or 30th of October.. Should give you some idea... http://www.wearetraitors.co.uk/ Not sure on all the differences but will be reporting back tomorrow when I have driven one a few times around a track in anger!! But there are lots of owners out there that have gone from the 350 to the 370 that are very happy!
Sarnie
Don't dismiss the car purely because of the dealers..........the people at Audi might pull your chair out for you etc but then they'll charge you three times as much for Servicing etc.............. I cancelled my 370z test drive last week as they would not let me have the car on my own, not even for one minute. Even Lambo were prepared to let my have a Spyder for the weekend!! Get your info here, go to the dealer, buy the car and only go back in 12 months when it need servicing
stanski
to the forum mate - as the rest have said ignore the stealer treatment - they are all pants (well a few are ok - if they sniff a sale) and just focus on the car. Have a go in a 350 of you get a chance too - maybe a late model one and see what you think? We would be interested in your unbiased opinion
Jezzer99
I suppose the other question is whether there are any discounts at this stage or whether people are sticking to retail price. Cheers.
3FIDDYZ
Prices are about to go up in the next few weeks, so I think most will be using this as a bargaining tool to get a better deal! Where you based?
