Can my German Sheppard join in? wouldn't that make it a tear and share snack to be honest, most of the cats i know are in charge of a house regardless of how big or how many dogs there are. normally the dog gets swiped around the face, and from then on the cats in charge my parents old cat was part siamese part russian blue, and on 1 occasion beat up 2 Dobermans, and on another had 2 beagles cowering under a table my mum had to go and appologies to the neighbours for her cat beating up their dogs

We have a cat as well. There are two halves to our house, the dog half and then the cat half......................never shall they meet! My shepperd hates cats with a vengeance....................next door have 4 of them and they sit on the fence at look at her barking at them.................do they care?.................not a chance! Zedrush
my dog is big but such a softy scared of everything, think a cat would kick the crap out of him lol i really like scottish fold, what price range are we looking at? Stew
For a good kitty from a good breeder anything from £300 generally. Not sure exactly on the fold but my aunties Birmans and tips were sought after so went for about £500+ each. There was usually a waiting list before the cat went to stud! bronzee
Jay, cats like Russian Blue's are notoriously bad tempered, and not exactly lap cats. i think Jay is thinking of a Burmese blue. Gorgeous cats........... As Nixy has already mentioned Blue Burmese, Burmese are very intelligent, inquisitive, rather inquiring, love attention, much quieter than Siamese (aka bigmouths of the cat world), quite a family orientated cat, they will follow you around, inside or outside, they're generally good hunters. Blue or Lilac Burmese are in general much more docile than say a red, cream or seal, or cinnamon Burmese or Siamese. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burmese_%28cat%29 http://www.burmese.co.nz/Previous%20Litters.htm Another derivative is the Tonkinese, which are quite similar in nature to the Burmese. Fabulous cats. They're not as common as Burmese either. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonkinese_%28cat%29 Often in the cat world, darker pointed ones can tend to be a bit scatty. Not always, but quite often. If you get a pure breed anything, don't overfeed it, keep it lean and healthy. My folks, breed numerous breeds of cats when I was a wee nipper. Thanks for that Bronzee, yeh I know Siamese are a nightmare, my mum has two siamese and two orientals, so loud and demanding they dont shut up lol Tonkinese look like little stunners, just contemplating about getting a cat, with the dog I can lock him out of certain rooms like my editing suite, with a cat may prove harder to do, last thing I need is a cat sitting on my keyboard, will give it some though

They asked why I was screaming 'b**tard!!' down the phone. It was because my cat walked across my laptop and stepped on the power button. They had to wait for me to reboot before carrying on. butter wouldn't melt in my cats mouth though!
rog518
Not sure if its the same but my neighbour has 3 british blues or english blue? She has created a huge undercover run in the garden as they are so expensive she is scared sh##less of letting them out incase someone walks off with them!! Nice cats though even if I am a dog man! Happy hunting.
bronzee
butter wouldn't melt in my cats mouth though! Lol, they do the innocent look so well, after they've just been totally bad. She has created a huge undercover run in the garden as they are so expensive she is scared sh##less of letting them out incase someone walks off with them!! Cat napping isn't that unusual, given pure breeds are quite pricey. just contemplating about getting a cat, with the dog I can lock him out of certain rooms like my editing suite, with a cat may prove harder to do, last thing I need is a cat sitting on my keyboard, will give it some though Cats can be little ratfinks getting in places they shouldn't. But if your keyboard is on a roll away tray or not in the sun, that helps.
