alessandro
Hopefully the last of many of my posts about tyres. I've been shopping around a lot in the last few days and I just found a place called Tyretraders.com and they do have a garage in Hemel Hampstead does anyone know anything about them? rawbhp
Not heard of them but I use Kipling in Hemel and they usually beat any other price. They are owned my Micheldever. They even beat the price I was quoted through Black Circles to use them (on my old car).
rawbhp
Oh and also check Camskill. I got 2 x rear Falkens for £100 and had them delivered to Japex. Fitting shouldn't cost much.
rtbiscuit
camskills for me too, had them fitted at a place near me for £8 a corner, they even did the spacers at the same time for no extra cost
alessandro
I checked Camskills, and they are have a good choice and prices, but this guys seems to be cheaper rawbhp- £100? that's a bargain, guess was an offer

alessandro
what tyres you going for then? Defenetly Falkens ( got to pay for the 54k service this month too + few little mods bits) pssibly 452 all around or 452 front and ZE912 back (still checking on reviews)
rtbiscuit
i'd go 452 all round, best to keep to one type of tyre, means the grip is linear across the 4 corners
alessandro
I think I'll stick with 452, the ZE912 get good reviews but they don't seems to last very long. Camskills £400 all around
Ebized
I think I'll stick with 452, the ZE912 get good reviews but they don't seems to last very long.Camskills £400 all around £400 sounds like a good deal I believe xStric9x has the 452/ZE912 set up and he is not impressed at all and in fact much prefers the grip and feel of 050 'Stones that have harder side walls. People knock the 'Stones and I found the 040's pretty useless in the wet, but very predictable in the dry whereas 452''s all round are superb in the wet. In fact on the Nismo wheels the Falkens give almost too much grip in the dry, for when you want too play The poor old clutch lets my nose know on that score
rtbiscuit
for about £80 more you could get the vredestein ultrac sessantas, they were on offer from camskills and are a fantastic tyre, have been really impressed with mine. grip is excellent and the feel and feedback is very good. I looked into those too a got really good reviews but don't get as many miles out of them, I think Falkens will get enough grip ( hopefully I can still play without killing the clutch ) and last a bit longer
