Chesterfield
Whats gone wrong now!? Surely not the roof again? If so isnt the work they carried out covered by a warranty?
martinmac
Roof error light is on again and it wont move at all. This is getting ridiculous. It certainly isnt going back to the same dealer though.

martinmac
That was the plan but it would have to be sold privately and I cant sell it with the roof not working. Nissan customer services have just been informed.
Pimm
So sorry to hear this again, things like this can really get you down.
martinmac
I am outside cleaning it and some tourists stopped to watch. You should be out enjoying it in this weather with the roof down.

Maccaman
Martin, have you tried telling them you are a moderator on the countries leading 350z forum? Would have thought it might give them the incentive to get your car right, and quickly.
martinmac
Oh they know Keith. Customer services are very good but I need to find a dealer that knows what they are dealing with.

AK350Z
Sorry Mart, going for a MTB ride on sunday. Probably too far for me anyway, cleaned out this month with bills and probably going to need 2 rear tyres before Wales!

IanS16
Bad news Why do you need to take it to a dealer? Could one of the traders not do a better job of sorting it?
choptop
I know it is your pride and joy but when you get her fixed, maybe time to say good-bye Feel for you mate. Try and get hold of the 350z Product Manager and see what they have to say. Best of luck
martinmac
I will post the e-mail to customer services on here when they have responded. My main concern is that I wanted it looked at by someone who actually knows what they are doing. I appreciate that there are not many mechanics in the UK who have experience with roadsters but that is their problem. When the problem arose the last time I said that I had people who could sort it out but that I was prepared to let Nissan do it. They tried and it hasnt worked so I dont feel like throwing more money at them to just change parts again. I have a pretty good idea what is wrong and cant see them fixing it. One of the parts they changed was the lock which closes and seals the roof. This will not release now. I had a 300z which was diagnosed as having a cambelt problem and I was quoted £68 to replace it. The local dealer had the car for three weeks before it was ready for collection. At the time I bought and sold cars and went into a local tuning shop, behold, there was my car. I asked the owner who didnt know it was mine what he was doing with it. He was doing a full engine rewire. When I got the car back the bill was over £600. Nissan UK said the car should have been taken to one of their inhouse specialists and I think that this should be the case now. I am not very happy with this situation and will be happy to go the course with the legal side if needed.
