srobrien
I've started hearing an annoying "jingly/squeaky" noise coming from the boot, it happens the whole time. I don't think its anything on the outside it sounds like an internal noise. Anyone else have the same? R
Shaun1982
Sorry dude my rears silent but the strip under the windscreen with the heater slots likes to make the most annoying rattle all the time though
Toon Chris
Yes, I had that. Try taking of the tonneau(?) cover to eliminate that, or at least press the fixings home so they are in tightly. I had to have a friend lean into the back whilst I drove to find that squeak but, ah!, the blessed relief!
From A to Zed
Hi mate, are you sure it's not your drop links going? Mine started out as a little creak and gradually got worse over time. If you can park the car on a flat surface (brakes off and in neutral) lift the hatch and bounce the rear of the car - it would sound louder from outside. A re-grease will clear it up for about 6 months but I am going to replace my links at the next service. Matt
rtbiscuit
i have this, but i think my new CF rear strut cover should fix this as it makes it a tighter fitting. my old fix was to just turn the radio up

srobrien
Cheers guys will try all of the above, I usually have the radio turned up LOUD but my gf was in the car and she doesn't appreciate the gods of rock and i refuse to put on girls aloud so we have to listen to the K1 and the squeaks instead R

bronzee
The space saver can make an irritating noise if the screw cap is coming loose from it's possy in the boot.

Greekman
Mine did it since new! With the spare wheel in or not over vertical imperfections it sounds as if something is bouncing up and down...and if anything its getting worse with time!!! srobrien
Hmm I may have to start systematically stripping out bits of my interior to see if i can narrow it down. R
LRF4N
mine does this i thought it was coming from the boot somewhere,il try tightening the screwcap for the spare wheel or the tonnaueaeueuau caps see if that helps
Adriank
It will be the K1 causing the rattling if its anything like my buddyclub... All was silent before fitting it, now the dash and various bits of interior vibrate. Just ignore it!
gunmetalzgt
Ah yes that old radio tune up its sorted my whurring drive train noise a treat Rich helped me cope with a noisy bearing for a while
bronzee
What about the Wheel Jack etc, is that all anchored down? Presuming that's under the back right side of the carpet in the boot.
srobrien
Found it! It's coming from the plastic liner on the boot lid. Given it a technical tap and it's stopped now! R
