kris
Next month I will be purchasing a new exhaust for my recently acquired Zed. But I need some opinions as at the moment i'm torn... I like the looks of the K2 as it looks like a polished vesion of oem and would go great with a bumper tuck, it seems to sound nice on videos i've seen aswell, so thats one choice. But I also love the sound of High flow cats and manifolds on the standard cat back as it sounds like a louder version of the stock sound and really brings out the 'hollow' like V6 sound. BUT this would mean I would still have the oem back box which wouldn't give the looks I want. So what I'm asking is the opinions of the noise of these two exhaust choices and if anybody knows any good places to get the rear box chromed/polished? Thanks! 3FIDDYZ
Manifolds and HiFlows make little difference to the noise... Manifolds make a deeper note.... One cheaper way to sort it is get a differnt ypipe and loose the mid baffle.... You dont say where you are, whick would help in people letting you know about polish / chroming! Seen a few videos on youtube that show differences in noise when HFCs are installed by themselves? I don't really want to remove the mid baffle as it just sounds raspy and tinny imo. Sorry, I'm in the reading area and sometimes in staffordshire.
Darren-B
I found that you get a more tinny raspy sound with HFC`s than you do when removing the mid box,
Darren-B
Also, all these videos you here on youtube are of the car just standing still and the engine not under any load. so the video above sounds a little raspy to me and I wouldnt mind betting that itd really raspy when under load
kris
Could do with hearing the systems in person really. Might have to be the K2 just for ease... *EDIT* Just as anoter comparison, I think this is decat though...
3FIDDYZ
K2 may give you a raspy note cause of the gauge of the pipe used. Yep, best to have a listen in person. I ment to take a video on the rolling road day to get an idea of different zorsts as there were a few different ones, but I forgot!
