Husky
So i went to jack the car up today, used the scissor jack to get the front high enough to get the trolley jack under, going fine so far, begin jacking up with trolley, then it stopped going up and the trolley jack started slipping to an angle, i quickly lowered tha car back down as the jack had actually started sinking through the tarmac so i cant get the car in the air... suggestions
Ebized
Flat piece of wood under the scissor jack to spread the load Might also have to do the same under the trolly jack if the tarmac is really soft, with some wedges under if on an angle - but try to avoid a slope if that is what is causing the jack to lean over
Husky
its the trolley jack that sinks. the scissor is only lifting one side and had a big enough base to spead the load. i would just be woried the trolley jack will slip off a bit of wood it is on a slight slope. the trolley jack tilted due to one wheel sinking faster than the other. rtbiscuit
take the wheels off the jack, and sit it on a plank of wood to spread the load
Husky
hmm thats a plan i think that might work, only thing is, the wheels are meant to take huge amounts of stress so im sure this aint gonna be easy
