Marios
Nice post - Currently me and some friends are considering doing a similar trip next year in a convoy however we do want to see some sightseeing and would probably do the trip in 2 weeks over several countries. Was it hard to find accomodation on each trip? How much planning went into the routes taken?
Tomm
Nice post - Currently me and some friends are considering doing a similar trip next year in a convoy however we do want to see some sightseeing and would probably do the trip in 2 weeks over several countries. Was it hard to find accomodation on each trip? How much planning went into the routes taken? We didnt plan routes, just knew where we wanted to go - thats half the fun, you stumble across roads like we did. Accommodation is always a mindfield - we stayed in a few nice places so cost a bit, but we saved for ages for this and was worth it. We found loads of places on booking.com I would say to make sure there are no events on in the areas your going to - as you will have issues getting anywhere to stay. Our trip was so good we are going again next year, to a few different places but defo back to the Alps. Question is, will it be in the Zed
Ebized
Thank you for taking the time to share your trip with us - with quality pics and write up. As you (and others) say, the ZED is a great long-distance crusier and fully lives up to its 'GT' tag, and is a true drivers car in the way it responds and feeds back what is going on - I'll be very surprised if you don't keep it for more than 6 months, unless you upgrade to a newer version - something I couldn't resist doing and 4 years on I still can't see anything else, within a reasonable price range, that is likley to offer a better driving experience. As Italy and the Lakes is a favourite holiday destination I ought to follow your example and drive there but as you say the Italians take no prisoners on the roads and right-hand drive around the Lakes is not the best thing to have, but we shall see.
