Adriank
Are these worth it, do they help with lower intake temps? 2 types available it seems: Normal just duct: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-3 ... ccessories Duct with tubing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-05-Ni ... ccessories Which would be best with a pop charger? Or is it best to not bother?
BulletMagnet
Personally I'm not really a fan of those ducts, because I think it spoils the look of the bumper. Unless it's moulded in like on the Ings+1 front bumper, those ducts don't really do it for me, but this is purely on aesthetics.
BladesGrant
If you don't want to affect the look by putting in a duct but still get the cold air, use a scoop that goes just behind the grill like the K&N Typhoon. Gives you the same effect as the duct but without having to cut out your bumper.
Adriank
I dont mind the looks of them, i'm just interested to know if they actually do anything for the temps or not?
dcash5
I think they are more designed for Turbo applications and to give the idea of the Ram affect (minimal really). Ive always been told the best cooling aid is a vented bonnet but Im not basing this on any science more hearsay
Ian
Not sure how it effects the temps, I never had my scangauge before getting it fittted. I do know that the ARC intake runs cooler than both the popcharger & OEM box. Theres not a lot tempurature wise between the 3 but I found that the OEM box had the highest temps
Adriank
Thanks guys, the reason im inrterested now is i noticed at combe that after a session when getting back the pop charger itself and the air in that corver were VERY hot, if a duct will help it ill get one. Anyone got a recomendation on which of the above might be best? Adrian
