dan4
Just got back from a very good 'spirited' drive, went out with two friends on R6's lol and i must say the R888's are amazing, the grip level is fantastic. I must say i will probably be using the stock wheels in winter to protect the polished lips on the Rota's. Obviously i would have thought that in the wet a road tyre would be better as it drags the water into the tread etc.... but i do regular trackdays and i must say that most people using them that i know say they arent as bad as made out.... Springy the HKS kit comes with the blinging pipe

MrLizard
whats the grip like in the wet with those R888's r888's are fine in the rain, its standing water you have a lot of issues with, though if you know a decent tyre place you can get them cut slightly (which in theory would make them not road legal but a lot of people do it) to allow the grooves that dont go all the way to the edge of tyre reach the edge to shift more water. alot of people seem to think there rubbish in the wet which isnt strictly true, they arnt great but not undrivable either

dan4
to be fair most tyres are shocking with standing water, i suppose r888's have less chance to break the standing water due to less of a patterned tread
